DJ Danny D     Has over 10 years in the DJ business. It wasn't until  1993, at age 16, that DJ Danny D (then known as DJ CHICO) finally decided to enter  the DJ world. In high school, he and a friend began their "Quest for tha Funk  Productions" funded by his older brother), a local mobile DJ service provided quality music to the youth and high schools across Utah. During this time, Quest for tha Funk  provided the hottest Hip-Hop & R&B that wasn't then available to the public (due to  lack of radio play). After a couple of years, Quest for tha Funk parted ways sending Danny D onto anew adventure: Atlanta, GA. Danny immediately began DJing all the area high school dances and skating rinks, playing the hottest music in Hip-Hop, R&B, and Miami Bass. He also got a gig playing Latin music at the NCO Club on Robbins AFB.  His brief stint at the Latin club helped him realize where his true love was: Latin music. Due to the lack of Latin exposure in Georgia, Danny decided to move to Tampa,  FL. After he made the move to Tampa, he decided to change his name. This is when he branded himself "DJ DANNY D".   DJ Danny D got his break from a friend of a friend,  Alex Torres (a.k.a. DJ Baby face). After being invited to play a set at the Palladium, Alex immediately offered him a spot on a newly formed radio station. 106.1 FM WAXNY. This was the 1st FM Latin station in Tampa. He was lucky enough to get the Saturday Night slot and immediately blew it up, playing the best in Salsa, Merengue, Latin House, and Freestyle. This show was a hit and the rest is history. After almost   10 years in the game, DJ Danny D has played in Utah, Georgia, and Florida. He has made appearances at clubs such as Palladium, Club Elektra, Harpos, El Corazon De Ybor,Capricornio, Moets, Turbulence, Club Manhattan (which was broadcast live from La  Mega 820 AM), Rain Lounge, and now resides at Club Fuel in Ybor City. He has also played at high schools throughout the Tampa Bay area, as well as provided his services for private functions, including weddings, sweet sixteen’s, and other social gatherings. He has teamed with area DJs such as DJ Speedy JR, DJ Rico, DJ 38, DJ Ñeco, DJ Moyo, DJ Babyface, Vaya DJs, DJ Christion, and Redman.
